    Throughout the 2007-08 season, IUHOOSIERS.com will sit down and get to know the Indiana men's cross country team with a series of question and answer sessions called "Setting the Pace". Redshirt sophomore Jordan Kyle is next on the list.

    If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? I would visit the Great Pyramids because no other manmade object exemplifies the amazing architecture, which the pyramids hold.

    Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
    In ten years I see myself married with two children, while working on my career in finance.

    Finish this sentence - Since coming to Indiana, I've learned:
    the importance of an education and the great opportunities that one may fulfill at Indiana University.

    What is your favorite childhood memory?
    My favorite childhood memory is spending time with my family at our cottage in northern Michigan.

    Something that many people don't know about you is:
    most people don't know that I almost quit running during the winter of my senior year of high school.

    The teammate I most admire is who, and why?
    The teammate who I admire most is Paul Coover. Paul is one of the most dedicated athletes I know, and he constantly thinks of ways to improve. He may not be the most talented athlete on the team, but that does not stop him from setting high goals and working adamantly towards them.

    Name one thing that you wish you were better at?
    I wish I were a faster reader.

    What makes Indiana special from any other program? The greatest asset to Indiana University running is the trail and soft surface systems. One is able to run endless miles on the trails, the golf course, and not to mention the cross-country course.

    My favorite thing about Bloomington is:
    My favorite thing about Bloomington is the fall. No other season in Indiana, or the Midwest for that matter, is more beautiful than the red, orange, and yellow colors of the fall leaves.

     

     

    What are your goals for this year?
    My goals this year in cross-country are: leading my team to a top three finish at Big Ten's, while individually placing in the top five, advancing as a team to nationals, and at nationals placing in the top 25 runners.
