    WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Head Coach Robert Chapman's men's cross country team cruised to a 29-point triumph Friday evening with a 20-point tally in the Large School Division of the Indiana Intercollegiates 8K hosted by Purdue University at the Varsity Cross Country Course in West Lafayette, Ind.

    "We just wanted to come and get a good workout in and keep the focus on November," Chapman said.

    Overall, the Cream and Crimson placed five Hoosiers in the top seven spots as junior Sean Jefferson sparked IU's fourth-straight conquest of the event with a 25:39 to capture the individual crown. Senior Tom Burns clocked a 26:01 to claim third place, while junior Stephan Haas took fourth with a 26:08 effort. Junior Eric Redman registered a 26:09 to finish in fifth place, while classmate John Jefferson recorded a 26:15 to round out IU's top 10 performances.

    Next up, the Indiana harriers travel to South Bend, Ind., on Oct. 1 for the Notre Dame Invite at 4 p.m.
