    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - After taking some time off, the Indiana men's cross country team gets back into action this weekend when it travels to the George Mason Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 30.

    The 8K race, held at Bull Run Regional Park in Manassas, Va., is slated to begin at 10:45 a.m. (ET).

    In the Hoosiers last time on the course, sophomore Brennon Plotner took first at the IU Open on Sept. 9, running a career-best 26:32, placing ninth overall. Also finishing for Indiana were freshmen Darryl Stevenson (25.51, 12th), Tom Martin (27.14, 17th), Tyler McCreary (27:39, 23rd) and sophomore Paul Coover finishing with a time of 28:02 for 26th place.

    Following IU's trip to George Mason, the Hoosiers will head to Pre-NCAA's on Saturday, Oct. 14. The meet is hosted by Indiana State on the LaVerne Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind., home of the 2006 NCAA Championships.
