    Hoosiers Take Eighth at Loyola Lakefront Invitational

    CHICAGO, Ill. - Indiana traveled to Chicago for the 33rd-annual Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational on Saturday. IU finished eighth out of 28 teams, led by junior Marcus Aguilar, who finished 28th overall with a time of 25:25.

    Freshman Tim McLeod finished second for the Hoosiers and 31st overall in 25:31, while freshman Mark Fruin came in at 45th overall (25:48). Meanwhile, freshman Brian Sullivan took 64th (26:01), and classmate Chris Honig crossed the line in 71st (26:07). Senior Charlie Koeppen (86th - 26:19), freshmen Ryan Dixon (96th - 26:31) and Brennon Plotner (131st - 26:46) also ran for Indiana.

    Host Loyola-Chicago placed first with 81 points to beat out Eastern Michigan with 98 points. Eastern Kentucky junior Jacob Korir took home individual honors finishing first overall and helping his team to a sixth-place finish.

    The Hoosiers will be in action next at Terre Haute for Pre-NCAAs on Saturday, Oct. 15. Race time is set for 11 a.m.
