    Hoosiers Prepared for Big Ten Championships

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana Men's Cross Country team heads to Minneapolis, Minn., for the Big Ten Championships. There is one point at stake in the Crimson and Gold Cup battle between IU and Purdue, with the higher finishing team earning the point for their school. Currently Purdue leads IU 1-.5. Last year Indiana took home the title 12-7.

    LAST YEAR AT BIG TENS
    Paced by Sean and John Jefferson, Indiana took second place overall behind Wisconsin. It was their first second place finish since 2000, and was the sixth consecutive year IU finished in the top five. Sean finished the 8k race in 24:30, one second ahead of brother John (24:31).

    HOOSIER HISTORY AT BIG TENS
    Indiana owns 13 team titles, with the most recent win coming in 1980. The Hoosiers have 16 individual titles, trailing only Wisconsin with 24. Combined, IU has taken home 29 championships, second only to Wisconsin with 60.
