    Kyle and McLeod Earn All-Great Lakes Region Honors from the USTFCCCA

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Redshirt freshman Jordan Kyle and sophomore Timothy McLeod earned All-Great Lakes Region team honors for cross country from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, the organization announced on Tuesday, Nov. 14.

    Kyle, who competed in his first-ever Great Lakes Regional Championships, placed third overall in a career-best 31:02.43 in the 10K, to lead the Hoosiers to a sixth-place finish among the field of 31 teams. Kyle is the second straight Hoosier to finish third in the regional championship. McLeod finished 20th overall with a career-best time of 31:46.67.

    To be considered for the all-region team, athletes must finish in the top 25 of their regions and meet NCAA Division I Cross Country Coaches Association requirements.

    Kyle will represent Indiana at the 2006 NCAA Championships on Monday, Nov. 20, in Terre Haute, Ind.
