BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Athletics has announced the Scholar-Athletes of the Month for November - Nakel McClinton (Fr., Track and Field) and Dimitrije Tasic (Jr., Men's Tennis).

McClinton, a native of Merrillville, Ind., was a First Team All-State in 2011 and Second Team All-State in 2010. She was the DAC Field Events MVP (2010, 2012) and Team MVP in 2010 and 2012. McClinton won both the shot put and discus titles at the sectional for three-straight years.

"Nakel is a Hudson and Holland Scholar that is currently maintaining a 4.0 during her first semester in school," said Lorian Price, Academic Advisor. "While she is a fairly quiet individual, she is extremely hardworking both in the classroom and on the track. She is a responsible and proactive student, but, more importantly, she is a sweet, courteous, and respectful person."

Tasic, a native of Nis, Serbia, finished 3-1 in singles and 2-1 in doubles action during the Hoosiers' fall season.

"Dimitrije represents all the best in the true scholar-athlete, and he is a role model to his peers both on and off the court," said Dan Woodside, Director of Olympic Sports. "What's more, he's a real gentlemen and a super nice guy."
