Scholastic Achievement Award
The Indiana University Scholastic Achievement Award was established in 1979 by the IU Varsity Club, to honor and acknowledge the academic excellence of one athlete every year in each varsity sport.
The Varsity Club is fundraising organization for men's and women's athletic scholarships at Indiana University. We are committed to maintaining Indiana's excellence in academics and athletics, and it is our privilege to acknowledge the accomplishments of these fine student-athletes.
The recipients of this award each year have their names permanently displayed on a plaque in the north lobby of Assembly Hall.
Jack D. Tichenor The Jack D. Tichenor Memorial Award was established in 1984 to honor the student-athletes who best exemplify Jack Tichenor's ideals of scholastic achievement and athletic ability. It is awarded annually to the IU female and male student-athletes with highest degree of academic excellence.
