Indiana University Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Fred Glass announced today the hiring of Curt Miller, who owns the 16th-best winning percentage in NCAA Division I history, as IU's new head women's basketball coach. Glass and Miller agreed to a six- year contract, starting at a salary of $275,000 per year.

The Indiana women's basketball team could not silence the Michigan State shooting attack and fell to the Spartans in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament, 97-68. Three Hoosiers scored in double-figures led by Alisha Goodwin's 16 points. Quaneisha McCurty tallied 15 points as Candyce Ussery added 10 points for IU.

Indiana will begin Big Ten Tournament play on Thursday, March 1, against Michigan State. The Hoosiers and Spartans will tip at approximately 8:30 p.m. ET or approximately 25 minutes after the 6 p.m. ET game concludes. The Indiana women's basketball team will take on the Michigan State Spartans to begin Big Ten Tournament play on Thursday, March 1 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The game will start at approximately 8:30 p.m., but Hoosier fans can help send off the team at a pregame pep rally put on by the Indiana University Alumni Association at the downtown Marriott before the team leaves for the arena.

The game will take place at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis and will be aired live on the Big Ten Network. IU is the No. 12 seed as the Spartans are seeded fifth.

Senior Danilsa Andujar sunk two late free throws with 3.2 seconds remaining to lift the Hoosiers over Wisconsin on senior night, 62-60. Andujar tied career-highs and accomplished her fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Aulani Sinclair led IU with 19 points and Sasha Chaplin added 12 points.

Tayler Hill scored 27 points and No. 9 Ohio State never trailed in handing Indiana its 13th straight loss, 75-54 on Thursday night, even with the Buckeyes playing without Big Ten scoring leader Samantha Prahalis. Prahalis, averaging 21. 8 points in the conference, was battling the flu. She was on the bench at the outset but then went to the locker room. Amber Stokes added 14 points and a career-high seven assists, with Kalpana Beach matching a career high with 13 points. Ohio State (23-3, 10-3), which has won the last nine meetings with Indiana, never trailed while staying in a tie for the top spot in the Big Ten.
