An inside look at the family atmosphere within Indiana women's basketball.
Azjah Bass joined the Indiana women's basketball staff on June 24, 2013, as a graduate assistant under head coach Curt Miller.
Bass, a native of Indianapolis, Ind., played college basketball at Butler University (2008-11). She was a team captain her senior season and helped lead the Bulldogs to WNIT appearances in each of her four years. She graduated from Butler with a Bachelor of Arts degree in physical education.
Prior to arriving at Indiana, Bass was on the basketball staff at Lincoln Trail Junior College in Robinson, Ill. She served as associate head coach last season and spent one month as the interim head coach. Prior to her stop at Lincoln Trail, Bass was an assistant director for Adidas Grassroots Girls Basketball in Fishers, Ind. She oversaw the organization of Adidas basketball tournaments and assisted in the execution of each of those events.
Bass had a decorated high school career at Lawrence North and was an Indiana All-Star after her senior season in 2007. She is one of two members of Miller's staff to have played in the Indiana-Kentucky high school all-star series as Liz Honegger, the program's director of operations, was also an Indiana All-Star in 2003.
