A Sarah McKay 3-pointer sparked a 7-0 Indiana run that put the Hoosiers back up by one, 20-19. The two teams battled back and forth, trading the lead for nearly three minutes before Illinois used a 15-7 run in the final six minutes of the half to take a 42-37 lead into the break.
Indiana continued to battle back in the second, as the Hoosiers used a 19-13 run to overcome a seven-point deficit and take a 56-55 lead with 13 minutes remaining in the game. A layup by Jenna Smith regained a one-point advantage for Illinois, 57-56. However, Indiana's defense stayed strong and held the Illini to just three field goals in the final 11:23 of the game en route to the 13-point victory.
The Hoosiers shot 41.4 percent (24-of-58) from the floor and won the battle on the boards, 40-36. Indiana held the Fighting Illini to just 20.7 percent (6-of-29) shooting from the field in the second half, while Illinois shot 35.6 percent (21-of-59) from the floor on the game.
Braun sank 8-of-15 from the floor, including a career-high five 3-pointers, and hit 6-of-7 from the charity stripe. She also registered seven rebounds. Roberson shot 9-of-12 from the field and sank 3-of-4 treys for her 24 points in 23 minutes on the court. McKay led IU with 13 rebounds, 10 of which came on the defensive end, and two blocked shots.

Sunday's win was the first time this season that two Hoosiers have scored 20-plus points in a game. The win completed IU's season sweep of Illinois. The Hoosiers defeated the Illini in Champaign, 71-64, on Jan. 7.
Indiana will return to action on Thursday, Feb. 22, when it hosts Northwestern and honors its senior class in the Hoosiers' home season finale. Tip-off against the Wildcats is set for 7:05 p.m. EST.
