    Indiana Head coach Felisha Legette-Jack

    Opening Statement:
"From the preseason on its been fun watching them play for something more then the game. We certainly believe there was more basketball for us to play. It just didn't come out our way tonight, but we certainly did everything we could to come out on top. To have five players in double figures, to go 30-37 from the free throw line, to have 11 assists, to me I thought that would be good enough to put ourselves in the position to win. I am very proud of this team. I think we lost our poise a little bit, but we are such a freshman-laden team. That is also what makes me believe that the future looks really bright. "

On what she is most proud of:
"Their effort. These kids gave everything tonight. We never quit. We never blamed anybody for our losses. We just tried to compete. These kids stand for something so much more then the game. For them to decide to play for cancer awareness, soldiers in Iraq, children in the hospital, heart disease. These kids are thinking outside of the box. There is a place much higher for these kids then the basketball court. We are on our way. They just fill me with joy."

On what she told the team at halftime:
"We said we were going to dictate. Whoever is out there being successful then we would go to that guy. So our inside game really set ourselves up for success. Our perimeter offense was stifled a little bit so the inside game worked."

On the movement of the ball:
"They really played unselfish in the long stretches of the game. I just think its going to get better; we have a bright future. Whitney Thomas and (Jori) Davis just put the game on their back and gave everything they had. That's the kind of confidence I like to see out there."

    Junior Whitney Thomas
    On James Madison:
"We knew they were good players. Watching them in film and seeing their stats. Everyone is playing one and done basketball and their shots just fell at the right time."

    On rebounding:
"We knew they were a good rebounding team coming in. They were top in the nation for rebounding and all five (players) were crashing all the time and we weren't used to that. It felt like they knew were the ball was going to be."

James Madison Head Coach Kenny Brooks

    Opening Statement:
"First and foremost, congratulations to Indiana. Coach (Legette-Jack) is a good friend of mine, and we've done a lot of battles over our careers. I think she is doing a remarkable job here. She has this program going in the right direction."

"It was a hard fought game. I was very proud of my young ladies because there were a lot of times in the game where we just didn't look like ourselves. I don't know if it was because of the fact that we played 48 hours ago and then we had to travel halfway across the country and play another game in such a short time. It took us a little while to get going. We finally regrouped, and (Tamara Young and Dawn Evans) carried us from an offensive standpoint. Tamara has done a fantastic job. She had 38 points the other night against Radford, comes back with 30 tonight, and I've said it numerous times, she is a phenomenal player. She has so many records at JMU that we probably couldn't count them all. She is going to have basketball left in her career when she is done with us. Dawn came out and had a very gutsy performance because she was actually late for the bus because she spent a little extra time in the bathroom because she didn't feel well. Before the game she came up to me a little glassy eyed and didn't feel well. I just told her the story about Michael Jordan played his best game when he was sick. She went out. She was a little sluggish in the beginning, but she got her rhythm, started knocking down shots, and she really carried us a lot in the second half when they were really paying a lot of attention to Tamara, who really got us going in the first half."

"I'm very proud of all the kids because some of the kids were missing shots they normally make, but they found other ways to really help us. I'm very proud of them. They never hung there heads and kept fighting until the very end. As a result, we came away with a great win. A great win for our program and for these young ladies to continue their careers, and I'm very, very excited about it obviously."
