    Head Coach Felisha Legette-Jack

    Opening Statement
"That was a tough game. I'll tell you, Albany is well coached. They're well disciplined. They exposed our defense, and we're going to continue to work on some things to get better. Our kids are fighters, and they saw a challenge, and it was an alley-fight. We decided to put on our boxing gloves, and we fought in the alley. I'm real proud of these kids. We've got a lot of work ahead of us, but it was really neat to see that we can come back from 14 points down and find a way to be competitive, and find a way to win."

    On the team's rotation:
"We have a couple of kids that can play the three or the four, and whoever gets tired, that kid subs in for that position. We certainly stayed within our rotation, when the lineups changed. When somebody got in foul trouble, we'd insert the next person."

On the team's improved play in the second half:
"It is almost like you're walking outside and you're having a great day, and then all of a sudden you get punched in the face. They punched us in the face and we staggered and almost fell, but we had a couple kids that came off the bench in Jori (Davis) and Whitney (Lindsay) here, and they said `You know we got your back.' They held it together as much as they could until the second half, and we came back and got our balance, and we played Indiana basketball."

On the lack of three pointers for the team:
"It is the first game you know. You've got nerves with a team like ours. We're just so ready and so excited that the nerves are just malfunctioning for us. I know that we're a good shooting team. We are a fantastic shooting team. Once we get our nerves down and get our legs underneath us, we're going to be just fine. I'm not worried about our 3-point shooting at all. At the end of the day, if the shot doesn't fall you attack the basket, and that is what we decided to do."

    On adjustments at the half:
"We went through a lot of adjustments. We changed it up. We put our guards in the middle, and we tried to throw over the top. We brought our posts down and tried to up-screen for the guards and bring our point to the middle. We're going to continue to challenge our thoughts a little bit and have to think on the fly. That was a great practice and a great tool to watch, so that we can continue to get better."

    Junior forward Amber Jackson

On her performance in the game:
"It feels good because I've been away from basketball for almost two years, so it felt really good to just be out there playing again, feeling like myself, playing hard, doing what I can to help the team."

    On playing in the post:
"I just know that if I post up hard that I'll either get the ball or it opens up the shooters like Nikki (Smith) on the outside. So, if I post up hard they can't so much double on me. Just posting up hard opens up a lot of opportunities for everyone, not just myself."

    Junior forward Whitney Thomas

On her performance in the game:
"I had to take advantage of the time I had out there because I got in foul trouble, and that is why we have teammates. They were there to pick me up and help me out."
