CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Indiana women's basketball picked up its third-straight win with a 58-47 victory at Texas A&M Corpus Christi on Monday night. Aulani Sinclair scored a game-high 23 points as Simone Deloach added 10 points for the Hoosiers.
Corpus Christi jumped ahead 4-0 to start. Sinclair then sparked the IU offense hitting on back-to-back 3-point field goals to give IU a 6-4 edge with 16:08 on the clock.
Later in the half with IU leading 18-16, Deloach connected on layup to push the lead to four before Linda Rubene connected on her first 3-pointer of the season. Deloach scored Indiana's next four points to make it a 27-16 Hoosier lead.
Sinclair then capped an 11-0 Indiana run with a pair of free throws. IU's last four points of the half came from Rubene and Sinclair field goals with the Hoosiers outscoring the Islanders 15-3 in the final 7:42 of the opening stanza to take a 33-19 lead into the locker room.
Indiana's lead never fell below 10 points the entire second half. IU stretched its advantage to as much as 19 on three difference occasions, the first came when Sasha Chaplin hit a layup with 9:51 to play to make it a 47-28 score.
Chaplin later gave the Hoosiers a 19 point lead again with free throws to make it a 49-30 contest with 9:29 to go.
Just as she had done all night, Sinclair nailed her fifth 3-point field goal of the game at the 5:17 mark to cap a 6-0 burst and put IU ahead 56-37. The lead was insurmountable as Indiana held on for the win.
Sinclair hit five or more 3-point field goals for the fifth time in her career, finishing the game shooting 7-of-14 from the field overall and 5-of-8 from 3-point range. She also had four rebounds, one block and one steal.
Deloach shot 2-of-5 from the field and 6-of-7 from the charity stripe. She also added four boards and two rebounds. Milika Taufa tied her career mark with nine boards in the game to lead IU in that category.
The Hoosiers will next take the court on Friday, Nov. 23 at home against IUPUI. That game will tip at 7 p.m. ET in Assembly Hall.

With her five 3-pointers made, Sinclair has connected of five or more 3-pointers in a game five times in her career. Her last five-plus 3-point field goal game was on Jan. 26, 2012 against Ohio State.
Junior Simone Deloach scored 10 points in the game off the bench. She has now scored in double-figures two times in her career. The junior was 2-for-5 from the field and was 6-for-7 from the charity stripe. She also had four rebounds and two steals in 16 minutes of play.
Milika Taufa tied her career-high for the second-consecutive game with nine rebounds. Taufa has now grabbed seven or more boards in every game this season.
Indiana forced 27 Texas A&M Corpus Christi turnovers. Indiana has forced 20 or more turnovers in two games this season.
Indiana scored 22 points off turnovers and outscored the Islanders in second chance points, 19-8.
