    MOREHEAD, Ky. - Indiana won its ninth straight game to begin 2013-14 with a 77-54 win at Morehead State on Sunday afternoon. IU is now 9-0 on the year, the program's best start since starting 10-0 in 1994-95.

    Three Hoosiers scored in double figures led by Taylor Agler and Tabitha Gerardot who each scored 12 points. Larryn Brooks added 10 points for the Hoosiers.

    Indiana (9-0) came out of the gates scoring fast by putting up the first five points of the game in less than a minute. After a pair of Morehead State (4-7) free throws, Agler found an open Alexis Gassion for a fast-break layup at the 18:05 mark.

    Later, Indiana's Gerardot, Agler and then Gassion connected on three straight 3-point field goals to push IU ahead 18-2. Simone Deloach and Gerardot then capped off IU's 21-2 run as the Hoosiers held MSU without a field goal for the game's first 7:04.

    IU later led 23-11, before outscoring Morehead State 18-3 over a 7:53 span to pull ahead 41-14 with 1:43 to play in the half. The Hoosier took a 44-18 lead into the halftime break.

    Indiana's defense limited the Eagles to just 18.5 percent shooting while forcing nine MSU turnovers in the first 20 minutes.

    Morehead State pulled within 16 points of IU twice in the second half, but Indiana held firm to pick up the road win.

    IU had 12 players in the scoring column. To along with the top scorers, Sasha Chaplin, Gassion and Kaila Hulls all tallied eight points apiece. Gerardot led the Hoosiers with seven rebounds as Brooks and Simone Deloach skied for six boards.

    The Hoosiers again handled the ball well with only seven turnovers, marking IU's fourth game with less than 10 turnovers this year. IU shot 25-of-34 from the free throw line (73.5 percent) and outrebounded MSU, 44-35.

    Indiana will return home for its final home game of the month to take on Milwaukee on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. ET.

    Postgame Notes
    • Indiana's 9-0 start is the program's best since the beginning of the 1994-95 season.

    • IU last won nine consecutive games during the 2008-09 season.

    • With the win, Indiana won its third road game of the season, the program's most wins away from home since 2010-11.

    • The Hoosiers had just seven turnovers in the game, marking the fourth time that IU has had less than 10 turnovers this season.

    • Indiana outrebounded MSU, 44-35, marking the sixth time this year that IU has outrebounded an opponent.

    • The Hoosiers had a season high seven blocks on the afternoon.

    • Indiana connected on 25-of-34 free throws (73.5 percent), marking the second time this year that IU has hit 25 or more free throws in a game.

    Tabitha Gerardot scored 10 points, shooting 3-of-3 from the field with a 3-pointer and 5-of-7 from the free throw line. She also added a team-high seven rebounds. Gerardot has scored in double figures six times this year.

    Taylor Agler scored in double digits for the third time this season, tallying 12 points. She went 3-of-5 from long distance to go along with four boards, two assists and a block.

    Larryn Brooks finished with 10 points and has scored in double figures in every game this year. She also had six boards, two assists and two steals.

    Sasha Chaplin had eight points and five rebounds.

    Alexis Gassion swatted a career best three blocks, scored eight points with three assists, three rebounds and a steal.

    Kaila Hulls tallied eight points, hitting a pair of treys to go along with four rebounds and an assist.
