BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Join the Indiana women's basketball team on Feb. 17 as it hosts National Girls and Women in Sports Day when they battle Michigan at Noon ET on the Big Ten Network. In addition, this game will serve as our Think Pink promotion. Other supporters of the event include the Department of Applied Health Science, the Department of Kinesiology and the Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Studies, along with Campus Recreational Sports - HPER.
From 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. the concourse in Assembly Hall will be aligned with various exhibitors ranging from IU Athletics teams to recreational sports teams, to departments on campus and after school programs. Each booth will have an activity in which youth can participate. The pregame festivities will conclude just before tip-off of the Hoosiers' battle with the Wolverines at Noon.
IU's contest with Michigan will also serve as the Hoosiers' Think Pink game. Join the IU women's basketball team in wearing PINK to the game to help create awareness for breast cancer research. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a pink pom.
Following the game, the Hoosiers will be available to sign autographs in the South lobby.
