Head to the Hall March 2
Jan. 30, 2008
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Head to the Hall on Sunday, March 2, and help the Indiana women's basketball team set a new attendance record as it battles Penn State on Senior Day in Assembly Hall.
The Hoosiers are looking to break the attendance record for an on-campus women's basketball game in the state of Indiana. The record of 14,124 fans was set in 1999 at Mackey Arena.
IU will also say goodbye to senior Nikki Smith as she plays her final game in Assembly Hall.
"We are creating a legacy here with great student-athletes on our women's basketball team and we need your help," IU head coach Felisha Legette-Jack said. "The Hoosiers need our sixth person in those seats to help us set a new attendance record and give Nikki a tremendous send-off."
Tickets to see the Hoosiers take on the Lady Lions are just $1 each and the first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a FREE t-shirt.
The Hoosiers are looking to the community to help fill the seats in Assembly Hall. IU supporters, fans, business partners and sponsors are encouraged to purchase blocks of tickets ranging from 25 to 1,000 or more. The IU Department of Athletics will put those tickets into the hands of Indiana youth organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Boy and Girl Scout troops, to name a few.
Those wishing to sponsor a group or for fans that would like to purchase tickets should call 1-866-IUSPORTS.
