Indiana to Battle Michigan in First Round of Big Ten Tournament

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's basketball team will take on the Michigan Wolverines in the first round of the 2013 Big Ten Tournament on Thursday, March 7, in game two of the second session that evening (approximately 9:30 p.m. ET). The contest will take place at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill., and will be aired live on the Big Ten Network. IU is the No. 12 seed as the Wolverines are seeded fifth.
Thursday's matchup will mark the fourth meeting all-time between Indiana and Michigan in Big Ten Tournament play. IU is 3-0 in the previous three meetings, with the last one taking place in 2009. The Wolverines topped the Hoosiers both times the two programs met earlier during the regular season in 2013.
Indiana is 14-17 all time in the tournament and is 10-8 in its opening games of the annual event. Head Coach Curt Miller will be participating in his first Big Ten Tournament. Miller won five conference tournament championships as a head coach while he was at the helm of the Bowling Green State University program.
