BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana women's basketball senior Aulani Sinclair earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention recognition from media voters as all-conference teams were announced on March 4.
Sinclair just wrapped up the most productive regular season of her Hoosier career while leaving her mark in the IU record book. She leads the team in scoring with 15.9 points per game this season and broke the school record for most 3-point field goals made in a single season, as she has hit 72 so far this year.
The Eminence, Ind., native became the 23rd player in program history to tally 1,000 career points and is currently 18th on Indiana's all-time career scoring list with 1,138 points. She is third all-time in career 3-pointers made with 183 and is on pace to end her career as the all-time leader in 3-point field goal percentage.
Sinclair has scored in double figures 20 times this season and in 52 games in her career. She has tallied 30 or more points four times this year, including a career-best 34 points against SIU-Edwardsville on Dec. 16, which ties for the eighth-best single game point total in program history.
On Feb. 28 at Iowa, Sinclair had her best career Big Ten game as she scored 31 points, while tying career marks of 12 made field goals overall and seven 3-point field goals made. Three times in her career, Sinclair has hit seven 3-pointers in a game, which ties for the third best total in a single game at IU.
Sinclair's season is not done yet as the Hoosiers will take on Michigan in the opening round of the 2013 Big Ten Tournament on Thursday, March 7, in Hoffman Estates, Ill. The game will tip at approximately 9:30 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network.
