BLOOMINGTON, Ind.- The Indiana women's basketball team will head to Boston College to take on the Eagles in the annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Dec. 3, 2014. Both conferences made the official announcement of this year's pairings on Wednesday. This year will mark the first time the event will feature 14 matchups.

"We are excited about our matchup with Boston College in the annual challenge," head coach Curt Millersaid. "I am personal friends with their coaching staff and have great respect for the job they are doing re-building the program. They are coming off an excellent season at home including a 6-1 non-conference home record. They excel as a team shooting the ball and utilize the 3-point shot similar to us. I look forward to a fun, up-tempo game where both teams won't be afraid to shoot the three."

This year's game will mark the first time that Indiana and Boston College will have ever played each other in women's basketball. The Hoosiers have won two straight ACC/Big Ten Challenge games by defeating Virginia Tech last year, 71-65, and Clemson in 2012, 52-49. This year's contest at Boston College will be the first time IU has played a challenge game on the road since 2011. Indiana is 4-3 all-time in the event, winning three of those in the last four seasons.

Challenge games will be contested in a two-day format on Wednesday, Dec. 3 and Thursday, Dec. 4. Last year, Big Ten teams combined for a 5-7 record against the ACC.

Game times, as well as broadcast coverage, will be announced at a later date. The entire lineup of the eighth annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge is below.
