    IU Women's Basketball Little Hoosiers Day Camp A Huge Success

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's basketball "Little Hoosiers" Day Camp was a success as the coaching staff hosted around 30 young athletes, in grades 1-6, on June 1-2.

    The camp focused on fundamentals in individual stations, position development, and offensive and defensive strategy from one-on-one to five-on-five games. Each day included personalized instruction with the Hoosier coaching staff and players.

    Limited spaces are still available for the Elite Camp on June 10-12, the Team Shootout on June 13-15 and the Fundamental Camp on June 20-22.

    The Elite Camp is for girls in grades 9-12 and is designed for advanced players who aspire to play basketball at the highest level. Campers will receive position specific skill instruction from IU head coach Felisha Legette-Jack and other collegiate coaches. Drills, instruction and competition at this camp are intense and sure to be challenging.

    The Team Shootout is for girls in grades 6-12. High school, junior high and AAU teams from around the country are set to invade Bloomington to experience the exciting competition of the Team Shootout. Teams are placed in pools according to skill level and then guaranteed at lest seven games against appropriate opponents as well as an automatic berth in the camp tournament. Teams must consist of at least seven players and one adult coach.

    The Fundamental Camp is for girls in grades 4-12 and is designed to develop fundamental basketball skills and teach the dynamics of teamwork and sportsmanship. This camp will be divided into groups based on age and skill level. Campers will receive individual skill instruction in a fun yet competitive environment.
