BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana redshirt freshman Kaila Hulls will miss the 2012-13 women's basketball season due to an ACL tear in her right knee during preseason conditioning. The Bloomington, Ind., native transferred to IU from Bowling Green State University during the offseason.

Hulls suffered the same injury to the same knee last year in October and was forced to sit out the entire 2011-12 season at BGSU.

"It is devastating to hear the diagnosis of another ACL injury for Kaila," head coach Curt Miller said. "She has worked relentlessly on getting back from her prior injury and has done everything asked of her by the doctors and training staff. She will attack her latest injury like a champion and we look forward to having her on the court during the 2013-14 season."

Hulls averaged 20 points and 11.7 rebounds a senior at Bloomington South High School and was named to the Indiana All-Star team in 2011.
