IU Women's Basketball Begins Practice for 2013-14 Season

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's basketball team held its first practice for the upcoming 2013-14 season on Monday. The season opener for the Hoosiers will take place on Saturday, Nov. 9, against Oakland in Assembly Hall at 7 p.m. ET.
Head coach Curt Miller begins his second season at the helm of the program. IU welcomes nine players to the 2013-14 roster who will suit up in Cream and Crimson for the first time. The Hoosiers also return six players from last year's squad.
It is the start of a busy week for the Hoosiers, as IU will welcome fans to Assembly Hall on Friday for Hoosier Hysteria to officially kick off the season. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the women's basketball team will take the floor for an open one-hour practice beginning at 5:30 p.m. Introductions of both the men's and women's teams will begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, but fans are encouraged to bring a canned food item to be collected for the Hoosier Hills Food Bank.
