Legette-Jack To Appear In American Family Insurance Classic Parade This Weekend

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana head women's basketball coach Felisha Legette-Jack, along with her eight-year old son Maceo, will be a featured guest in the 2007 American Family Insurance Classic Parade, held on Saturday, Oct. 6 in Indianapolis in conjunction with the 24th Annual Coca-Cola Circle City Classic.
The parade, which also features national recording artist Kelly Rowland as the Grand Marshall, will be held between 10 a.m. and noon, and is set to begin at North and Pennsylvania Streets in downtown Indianapolis. The parade will conclude at North and Meridian Streets. Price for bleacher seating is $10 in the horseshoe and $8 north of New York Street.
This year's Circle Center Classic during the American Family Insurance Classic Weekend features a match-up between Winston Salem State and Florida A&M with a 4 p.m. ET kick-off at the RCA Dome. The event is a joint effort between Indiana Black Expo, Inc. and the Indiana Sports Corporation.
The net proceeds from the classic help support youth initiatives for each organization. Since 1984, more than $1 million in scholarships have been awarded to deserving youth who attend colleges and universities. Additionally, each year the Classic's educational partner, the Indianapolis Black Alumni Council, host an educational college fair that exposes more than 2,500 youth to colleges and universities with scholarship opportunities exceeding $3 million.
