BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's basketball team joined the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington to put on a youth clinic at Jackson Creek Middle School on Friday, Oct. 5.

The two-hour clinic featured Hoosier head coach Felisha Legette-Jack, director of basketball operations Stephanie Siler, junior Whitney Thomas, sophomore Jamie Braun and freshmen Jori Davis, Georgia Follmer, Haylie Linn and Andrea McGuirt.

The Hoosiers covered the fundamentals of basketball with the group of 50 children between ages 3-13. There were six stations, which taught various drills including ball handling, shooting, defense and passing.

On Thursday, Oct. 4, Legette-Jack, Siler and members of the women's basketball team took part volunteering at different stations at the "Heart-to-Heart" program hosted at the IU Memorial Union's Alumni Hall, which included Indiana first lady Cheri Daniels and IU first lady Laurie Burns McRobbie.

The program, which stops at college campuses across the state, teaches young women about heart disease with free health screenings.
