BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana assistant women's basketball coach Amaka Agugua took part in Jumpstart's Read for the Record on Thursday, Oct. 8, as she visited Bloomington's Rogers Elementary School and read "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" to one of the classes.

Jumpstart's Read for the Record is a national literacy campaign to encourage hundreds of thousands of children and adults in communities across the country to read the same book on the same day. Last year, more than 700,000 readers participated in this effort.

The books, donated by the Agency for Instructional Technology, were given to Monroe County elementary schools and local youth agencies.
