    Getting to Know Sasha Bernard
    Why did you choose Indiana?

A: I loved the coaches and the team, and I fell in love with the campus and the learning environment.

Who has been the biggest influence in your life and why?

A: The biggest influences in my life have been my family, friends and my coaches.

What is your greatest sports memory?

A: My greatest sports memory is the 20-point win in the regional finals to get our first ever regional championship and to secure our first ever state bid.

Do you have any pre-game rituals and what are they?.

A: For pre-game rituals, I listen to music and sit quietly by myself for 10-15 minutes to get focused.

    Why did you choose Indiana?

A: I chose Indiana because it was meant for me to be here. I wanted to be at a place where I had the opportunity to be at my best. I wanted to be at a program where I could make an impact and help to write a very strong history. I loved how hard everyone works for the program to be the best and that was something I wanted to be a part of.

Who has been the biggest influence in your life and why?

A: I would say the biggest influence in my life would be God and my family. All my decisions I make and things I do are a reflection of the values I have instilled in me because of God and the wonderful family he has blessed me with.

What kind of legacy do you wish to leave behind at IU?

A: I wish to leave IU with a legacy of championships. I want our program to be on the level of national dominance. I wish to leave IU with people knowing that I was the best person I could be in the classroom, in the community, and on the court.

What is your greatest sports memory?

A: Home games at my high school. We had the best fans. Our student section would have theme nights, a lot of them were pretty funny and probably a little distracting to the other teams.
