Getting to Know Sasha Chaplin
I chose Indiana because I felt that it was the best fit for me. I wanted to come to a program that was established, has coaches and players that work hard, and be able to come in and help make an impact and contribute to the team and take the program to the next level.
Who has been the biggest influence in your life and why?
My biggest influences in my life is my mother and family. My mother is the biggest influence because she has raised me to become a responsible and mature young woman. She made sacrifices for me to play basketball and to make sure I had a good life growing up, so I feel that it is time that I start making sacrifices for her so the rest of her life is better. And my family is also a big influence because they support me in everything that I do and are always there for me just like my mother.
Do you have any pre-game rituals and what are they?
Yes, I listen to music to get hyped and try to get focus for the game.
