Legette-Jack Names Davis, Lindsay and McGuirt 2010-11 IU Women's Basketball Team Captains

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana head women's basketball coach Felisha Legette-Jack has announced that All-America and All-Big Ten candidate Jori Davis, along with Whitney Lindsay and Andrea McGuirt will be the 2010-11 team captains.
The three seniors were a part of Legette-Jack's first recruiting class at Indiana University and have served key roles as Hoosiers.
Davis, a 5-9 guard from Rochester, N.Y., enters her senior campaign as an All-America and All-Big Ten candidate after averaging 16.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.5 steals per game to earn Second Team All-Big Ten honors from the league's coaches and media. She enters this season ranked 19th all-time in scoring with 1,021 career points.
Lindsay, a 5-7 point guard from Mansfield, Ohio, averaged 7.4 points, 3.1 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.4 steals over 30 games as a junior. McGuirt, a 5-9 guard from Atlanta, Ga., registered 2.5 points and 1.3 rebounds in 30 games last season.
The Hoosiers will host their first exhibition game on Tuesday, Nov. 2 when they welcome Alaska-Anchorage to Assembly Hall at 7 p.m. ET. After a second exhibition game on Saturday, Nov. 6 vs. Indianapolis, IU will open the regular season at Ball State on Friday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. ET and will open the home slate on Monday, Nov. 15 vs. St. Bonaventure at 7 p.m. ET.
