BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana senior Aulani Sinclair was named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week and freshman Nicole Bell earned Freshman of the Week honors as announced by the conference on Monday.

Sinclair poured in a career-high 34 points in IU's win over SIU-Edwardsville on Sunday, Dec. 16. The Eminence, Ind., native shot 12-for-23 from the field and went 7-for-13 from beyond the arc in the game. Sinclair's 12 made field goals set a new career mark and the seven made 3-point field goals tied her career high for a single game. She also added five rebounds, three blocks and two assists with her block total tying a career best.

Sinclair's seven 3-pointers tied her for the third most 3-point field goals made in a single game in program history and her 34 points ties for the eighth-best mark for total points in a single game. Sunday's game was the first time that Sinclair had ever scored 30 or more points in her career and it was the first time an IU player had tallied 34 points or more since Jill Chapman scored 35 points on Dec. 4, 1999, against Ball State.

Bell came off the bench against SIUE and poured in 11 points in the victory. Bell went 3-for-8 from beyond the arc and has now hit three or more 3-pointers in a game three times season. She also dished for a career-high five assists with just one turnover against the Cougars.

Bell has tallied double-figure points in three games this season and twice in IU's last three contests.

This is the first weekly Big Ten honor for both Sinclair and Bell. With Indiana's win over SIUE on Sunday, the Hoosiers improved to 7-4 and surpassed their win total from a year ago.

Sinclair is currently pacing the team and is ranked fifth in the conference in scoring as she averages 18.5 points per game. She has scored 16 or more points in nine games this year and 20 or more six times. From beyond the arc, Sinclair is shooting 44.3 percent (31-for-70) so far this season.

In her career, Sinclair has connected on five or more 3-pointers in a game six times and twice through IU's first 11 games this year. She is currently shooting 38.0 percent from beyond the arc for her career, which currently puts her at the top of IU's all-time list for career 3-point shooting percentage.
