The Indiana field hockey team and head coach Amy Robertson announced the 2008 schedule on Wednesday, with the Hoosiers opening the season on the road for the first eight games of the season. The home opener will also be the Big Ten opener when Indiana hosts the Iowa Hawkeyes on Sept. 26 at the IU Field Hockey Field.

Former Indiana field hockey standout Kayla Bashore scored the first goal for the U.S. National team at the Olympic Qualifier in Kazan, Russia, as the Americans went on to claim a 3-1 win over Belgium to qualify for the Olympic Games in Beijing, China, this summer.
