Beth Riley enters her second season as the Hoosiers' goalkeeper coach. She also organizes team travel and serves as the liaison for academics and athletic training at Indiana.
Riley, a native of Palmyra, Pa., comes to Indiana after spending four seasons at Temple University where she was an assistant coach for the Owls. During her time at Temple, the Owls accumulated 41 wins, including a 15-6 mark in 2007, and an 18-9 overall record in Atlantic-10 play.
The 2011 Palmyra High School Sports Hall of Fame inductee also has a long-standing career with USA Field Hockey, serving as an assistant coach in the Futures Program between 2005-07, and currently serving as a regional tournament selector, head coach and site director for the Futures Program and assistant coach for junior high performance. Riley is currently a coach for the Mystx Field Hockey Club.
A 2007 graduate of the University of Michigan, Riley was Second Team All-Big Ten in 2006 and a National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Second Team All-Region selection in 2003 and 2006. She was also a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. Riley was also a three-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week and a four-time University of Michigan Scholar-Athlete.
