BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana head field hockey coach Amy Robertson recorded her 100th career victory as the Hoosiers (3-0) beat Ball State, 4-0, in Bloomington on Saturday, Sept. 3.

The Cardinals (0-3) took the first shot of the game within the first two minutes of the first half, but the Hoosiers' offense took over to maintain possession for most of the first half, tallying 11 straight shots, six on goal, leading to a goal from Brenna Moeljadi in the 16th minute as she scored on an IU penalty corner. Brooke Borneman and Danielle McNally picked up assists on the goal that gave the Hoosiers a 1-0 lead. Indiana maintained possession and tacked on another goal in the 32nd minute as Katie Griswold took a pass from Audra Heilman on the right side of the circle and drilled in a shot into the left corner of the cage to give the Hoosiers a 2-0 lead.

Ball State started the second half taking back-to-back shots before IU took control, earning a penalty corner in the 51st minute. Moeljadi took a shot on the corner, but it was Nicole Volgraf who netted a goal off the rebound to increase Indiana's lead to 3-0 in the 52nd minute. The Hoosiers continued to dominate, recording three more shots and a penalty corner to set up Gaby Olshemski's goal, which came in the 62nd minute. Olshemski scored in the same fashion as Volgraf as she took her shot off a rebound on a shot by Moeljadi to give Indiana the 4-0 win.

The Hoosiers outshot Ball State, 28-3, and tallied nine penalty corners while giving up none.

Maggie Olson started in goal for the first 35 minutes of the game, earning the win, while Viki Green played the final 35 minutes and tallied one save.

Moeljadi took a team-high seven shots, four on goal, for one goal. Griswold took three shots, all on goal, for one goal, Olshemski took three shots, two on goal, for one goal and Volgraf took two shots, both on goal, for one goal. Borneman, Heilman and McNally tallied an assist apiece in the win.

In honor of Robertson's 100th career victory, the Hoosiers donated $100 in Robertson's name to the Bloomington Animal Shelter.

The Hoosiers return to action on Sunday, Sept. 4 at 12 p.m. ET when they play host to Missouri State at the IU Field Hockey Complex. The first 50 fans that wear white to the game will receive a free IU rally towel.
