BERKELEY, Calif. - The No. 19 Indiana field hockey team suffered its second straight road loss on its west coast trip with a 3-1 defeat at California on Sunday, Sept. 11 in Berkeley.

The Hoosiers' (4-2) lone goal was scored by Katie Griswold, who netted her second goal of the season off a rebound off the goalie's pad in the 19th minute to even the score at 1-1 after the Golden Bears got on the board in the seventh minute.

Cal (5-0) broke the tie with a goal in the 23rd minute and sealed the win with a goal in the 49th minute.

Griswold took two shots on goal for one goal, while Morgan Fleetwood took a team-high three shots, one on goal. Cal outshot the Hoosiers, 10-7, and earned 10 penalty corners to IU's five.

Viki Green started in goal for Indiana and recorded five saves in 70:00 minutes.

Indiana returns to action on Thursday, Sept. 15, when it faces UC Davis in Oxford, Ohio at 3 p.m. ET.
