Field Hockey Continues Spring League Action This Weekend

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –The Indiana field hockey team will continue action in the 2013 Field Hockey Spring league this weekend when they head to Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, April 6 for a pair of contests before returning to the IUFH Complex on Sunday, April 7 for two matches.
Saturday’s lineup at Ohio State will consist of two games composed of two 25-minute halves. Indiana will first take on Kent State at 11 a.m. EST and will close out the day with a 2 p.m. EST against Miami (Ohio).
On Sunday, the Hoosiers will close out the weekend in Bloomington with games against Louisville and Ohio State. IU is slated to take on the Cardinals at 11 a.m. EST and the Buckeyes at 2 p.m. EST.
The Field Hockey Spring league provides round-robin format tournaments divided over three consecutive weekends. Seven teams compete in this season’s league, with the 2013 lineup including Indiana, Central Michigan, Kent State, Louisville, Miami (Ohio), Michigan State and Ohio State.
The Hoosiers have already played two games in the spring league, going 1-1 at Michigan State on March 30. The Hoosiers fell to Michigan State, but would bounce back and down Central Michigan to finish out the afternoon.
