Nov. 17, 2011
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Redshirt senior Brenna Moeljadi was named a 2011 Longstreth/NFHCA First Team All-West Region honoree, announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Thursday, Nov. 17.
Moeljadi, a native of Los Angeles, ended her career at Indiana as the Hoosiers' all-time career defensive saves leader with 10. In four years, she recorded 20 goals and 16 assists for 56 career points. She ranks fourth all-time in the IU record book in career points and is tied for fifth in career goals and career assists.
The 5-4 back had quite a senior year for the Hoosiers, scoring nine goals in 17 games, to go along with eight assists for 26 points. She scored two game-winners and tallied four defensive saves to earn First Team All-Big Ten honors, after earning a spot on the second team in 2010. Moeljadi's efforts in the backfield earned her Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week twice (Aug. 30, Sept. 6) and her four defensive saves ranks second in IU's single-season record book.
Moeljadi is one of 37 seniors selected to play in the 2011 NFHCA Senior All-Star game on Saturday, Nov. 19 in Louisville. She is the 11th Hoosier to earn a trip to the Senior All-Star game.
