    Three Hoosiers Named to All-Region Teams

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana field hockey team earned more postseason honors as three student-athletes have been selected to the 2013 Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-Region Team.  

    Junior Audra Heilman earned a spot on the West Region First Team, while senior Hannah Boyer and sophomore Sydney Supica were placed on the West Region Second Team.

    Heilman earns her second postseason honor, after being named a First Team All-Big Ten honoree. She played and started all 19 games and recorded 10 goals and 12 assists. Heilman’s 12 assists tied a single season school and record and her 32 points were fourth most for a single season. Heilman was a two-time Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honoree and set an IU record for points in a game with nine against Saint Louis.

    Supica was selected as a Second Team All-Big Ten honoree. Supica played and started 18 games and tallied nine goals and four assists. Her nine goals are the 10th most for a single season in program history. Supica was also key to the Hoosiers defense with five defensive saves on the season.

    Boyer, a Second Team All-Big Ten honoree was also named to the NFHCA West Region Second Team. Boyer played in all 19 games for the Hoosiers. She totaled three shots and recorded one defensive save and was a key part of the Hoosiers defensive unit.
