Hoosier Place Eighth at BYU at Entrada Classic

ST. GEORGE, Utah - Tied for the second-lowest round of the day, the Indiana women's golf team moved up to finish eighth at the BYU at Entrada Classic at Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club in St. George, Utah.
Minnesota took the team title with a score of 931. BYU (939), Wisconsin (942), California (943) and Kansas State (953) made up the top five. The Hoosiers finished with a 307 on Tuesday for a final score of 957 (311-339-307).
Freshman Ana Sanjuan placed tied for 14th with a final 5-over 77 to finish at 236 (78-81-77). Sanjuan kept her compound errors to a minimum with just two double bogeys, while carding par or better on 13 of 18 holes.
Junior Elizabeth Tong moved up almost 20 spots from her day 1 placing, finishing tied for 28th with a 241 (79-85-77). Tong was also fairly clean with her third round, with birdies on seven and 13, and 11 other holes of par.
Also finishing tied for 28th was sophomore Marissa DeCola (77-87-77). Hole one continued to be a favorite for DeCola as she recorded her second birdie in three rounds on the hole. She also had a birdie on the par-3 eighth hole.
Sophomore Camille Chevalier posted her lowest round of the tournament on Tuesday, carding a 4-over 76 and finishing tied for 41st (86-83-76/245). Chevalier had just one double bogey on the day, while posting birdies on holes aight and 10. Chevalier went -1 on both those holes during tournament play.
Sophomore Maria Mancini finished 64th with a tally of 254 (80-90-84). With the exception of holes 16 and 17, where she picked up a triple and double bogey, respectively, Mancini had a fairly steady round with nine holes of par.
The Hoosiers continue their spring break trip March 25-26 at the Briar's Creek Invitational at The Golf Club at Briar's Creek in John's Island, S.C.
