Hoosiers 14th at Briar's Creek Invitational

ST. JOHN'S ISLAND, S.C. - The Indiana women's golf team posted a final round score of 306 to finish 14th at the Briar's Creek Invitational at The Golf Club at Briar's Creek in John's Island, S.C.
Indiana finished with a three-round score of 921 (310-305-306). Texas Tech won the team title (888), with Penn State (892), East Carolina (894), Augusta (895) and Clemson (899) making up the top five.
Sophomore Camille Chevalier was the top finisher, placing tied for 22nd after a 75 on Tuesday. Chevalier was steady throughout the tournament, carding a 75 in each of her three rounds (225).
Freshman Ana Sanjuan was four strokes back, placing tied for 37th with a 77 in the final round. Sanjuan never went above 78 in her three rounds, finishing with a 229 (78-74-77).
Junior Elizabeth Tong matched Chevalier for low round of the starting five with a 75 and placed tied for 43rd with a tally of 230 (79-76-75). Sophomore Marissa DeCola posted her second lowest round of the tournament with a 79 on Tuesday, finishing tied for 65th (78-82-79/239).
Rounding out the Hoosier five, Kamryn Klawitter tied for 79th after a round of 83 on Tuesday (82-80-83/245).
Playing as individuals, sophomore Maria Mancini led the way with the low round of the day for the entire team, carding a 73 and finishing tied for 74th (85-84-73). Junior Sarah Dusman tied for 86th with an 83 today (80-87=83/250), while freshman Theresa-Ann Jedra posted her lowest round of the tournament with a 79, finishing tied for 90th (89-87-79/255).
