    Golfweek Conference Challenge Final Results Get Acrobat Reader

    WOLCOTT, Colo. - The Indiana women's golf team ended the 54-hole Golfweek Conference Challenge Wednesday in 16th place with a score of 979 (333-323-323) at the Red Sky Golf Club in Wolcott, Colo.

    Pepperdine won the 18-team tournament with a tally of 869, followed by UC Davis (905), TCU (910), Denver (917) and East Tennessee State (917) rounding out the top five.

    Freshman Ana Sanjuan saved her best round for the final day, carding a 3-over 75 to place tied for 28th (80-77-75/232). Sanjuan had three birdies on the day, going -1 over the back nine.

    Junior Elizabeth Tong improved upon her second-round score by eight strokes, carding a 76 to finish tied for 53rd (82-84-76/242). Tong hit pars on seven of nine holes in the front nine and had a pair of birdies on 12 and 16 on the back nine.

    Sophomore Maria Mancini tied for 68th with a score of 249 (84-77-88). Mancini was holding fairly steady through 14 holes before a 10 on the par-4 12th hole derailed her round.

    Senior Sophie Hayashi tied for 82nd with an 86 on Wednesday giving her a 261 for the tournament (87-88-86). Junior Kamryn Klawitter carded an 86 in the final round to finish 86th (94-85-86).

    The Hoosiers are off until Oct. 19-20 when they play host to the Hoosier Fall Invitational at Hickory Stick Golf Club in Greenwood, Ind.
