Hoosiers Place 13th at Fall Invitational

GREENWOOD, Ind. - The Indiana women's golf team wrapped up its fall season with a 13th-place finish in the Hoosier Fall Invitational at Hickory Stick Golf Club in Greenwood, Ind.
The Hoosiers posted scores of 308-304-304 to finish with a 916. UC Davis won the tournament with a score of 868, followed by Illinois (884), Louisville (887), Ball State (888) and Purdue (892) rounding out the top five in the 15-team field.
Junior Elizabeth Tong tallied a 4-over 75 Sunday to finish tied for 20th at 223 (76-72-75). Tong's solid Sunday round featured 15 holes of par.
Freshman Ana Sanjuan wrapped up a successful fall with a tie for 25th at 225 (77-75-73). Sanjuan had three birdies on Sunday, going one under on six, 16 and 18. Sanjuan was -1 on the sixth hole in two of three rounds this weekend.
Playing in her first tournament with the top squad, freshman Theresa-Ann Jedra tied for 62nd at 234 (76-77-81). Jedra had nine holes of par on Sunday. Sophomore Maria Mancini tied for 76th with a score of 237, carding a 77on Sunday (79-81-77). Mancini went -2 from holes six through 15, posting birdies on the par-4 10th hole and par-4 15th hole.
Senior Sophie Hayashi tied for 85th with her best round of the tournament on Sunday with a 79 (83-80-89/242). Hayashi had 10 holes of par in her final 18 holes and did not have a single double bogey for the tournament.
