BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - IUHOOSIERS.com recently asked each member of the Indiana women's golf team what clubs they carry around the links. In the upcoming weeks, each IU golfer will let us take a look inside what is in their bags. Amber Lindgren, a freshman from Kokomo, Ind., is next up.
Overall
AL - I really like the clubs that I carry in my bag. They are customized to my personal swing, set-up and height.
Putter
AL - Well, I use the putter the team calls "The Broom!" This is a long putter that I have recently started using after the fall season this year. The putter helps me with the tempo of my stroke and all the other fundamentals of putting.
Woods
AL - I use the Titleist 983 K driver and Callaway Hawkeye woods. I've had them since I was a sophomore in high school and feel comfortable using them whenever. My favorite one of them is my 9-wood.
Irons
AL - I recently got the Ping I5 irons. I don't really have a favorite iron, but my 9-iron seems to always be the one in my bag needing to be cleaned the most.
Wedges
AL - I carry three different wedges all of which are Pings. I like to chip with my sand wedge and utility wedge and hit approach shots or pitches with my regular wedge.
Ball
AL - I play the Titleist Pro V1 ball. I prefer to play this ball because it usually stops pretty well on the greens, but it still gives you reasonable distance on other shots.
