Women's Golf Heads to Briar's Creek Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's golf team continues its spring season as it travels to the Briar's Creek Invitational at Briar's Creek Club in John's Island, S.C.
The 54-hole tournament begins with a shotgun start at 9:15 a.m. ET on Monday, followed by a final 18-hole round on Tuesday at 9 a.m. ET. Joining Indiana in the field is Augusta State, Campbell, UCF, Coastal Carolina, host College of Charleston, East Carolina, Furman, Georgetown, Kansas, Kansas State, Maryland, Mississippi State, Notre dame, Penn State, USF and Wisconsin.
Senior Rosie Davies, who was the top finisher at the Mountain View Collegiate, tying for 14th in the field, will lead the Hoosiers. Graduate student Kristen Schelling will play in the No. 2 spot after her performance last week in Arizona, where she carded a season-best 69 in the final round. Sophomore Elizabeth Tong will play third and is also coming off a memorable performance where she recorded a hole-in-one in the final round of the Mountain View Collegiate. Rounding out the Hoosier lineup is senior Kate Coons and freshman Marissa DeCola.
Indiana comes off a sixth-place finish at the Mountain View Collegiate, its seventh top-10 finish in eight events this season.
