    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Former Indiana University golfer Kristen Schelling has qualified for her eighth United States Golf Association Women's Public Links Championship, to be held at The Home Course in Dupont, Wash., July 14-19.

    Schelling earned her spot after posting a 72 during qualifying at Hickory Stick Golf Club in Greenwood, Ind. She was assisted during her qualifying by IU head coach Clint Wallman, who served as her caddie during the tournament.

    Schelling advanced to the third round of the 2009 tournament at Red Tail Golf Club in Devens, Mass. She also won her first round match at the 2007 tournament at Kearny Hills Golf Links in Lexington, Ky.
