PINEHURST, N.C. - Indiana University senior golfer Elizabeth Tong posted a second-round score of 80 on Friday to finish with a two-round total of 156 at the U.S. Women's Open at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in Pinehurst, N.C.

Tong's scores of 76-80 did not allow her to make the cut for weekend play.

Starting from hole No. 1 in round two, it was a tough outing for Tong as she was at +7 making the turn, including a bogey on the par-4 second hole. It was a much cleaner back nine for the Hoosier, who enters her senior year at IU this fall. Tong hit par on six of nine holes, including four-straight holes of par to end her tournament.
