BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -
The Indiana women's golf team will play its penultimate tournament of the fall seasons as it travels to Columbia, Mo. for the Johnie Imes Invitational, hosted by the University of Missouri.
The 54-hole tournament runs Oct. 1-2, with 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday at the 6,234-yard, par-72 Club at Old Hawthorne. Live results will be available on GolfStat.com.
In addition to the Hoosiers and Tigers, other team participating in the tournament are Redlands Community College, Oklahoma City University, Montana, Missouri State, Florida International, Kansas State, Colorado State, Louisville, UALR, Mississippi State, Southern Methodist, UMKC, Bradley, Illinois State, Wichita State, Eastern Michigan and Iowa.
Tong is coming off a top-10 finish at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., where she placed tied for sixth with an even-par 219. She has finished no lower than sixth at each of her two events this year.
Coons finished second among the Hoosiers in New Mexico, including an opening-round, 2-under 71. In her first major collegiate tournament, DeCola placed tied for 35th, led by a 1-under 72 in round one.
Schelling was also a top-40 finisher in New Mexico, while Davies and Hayashi will be making their first road trips of the season.
