Women's Golf Wraps Fall Season at Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana women's golf team wraps up its 2012 fall schedule with the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, Oct. 21-23 at the Stallion Mountain Golf Club.
The 54-hole tournament begins at 9:30 a.m. ET Sunday, with another 18 at 9:30 a.m. ET Monday and the final round starting at 9:45 a.m. ET Tuesday. Tuesday will be a shotgun start at the par-72, 6,230-yard course. Live scoring will be available at GolfStat.com.
Joining the Hoosiers in the desert is host UNLV, Colorado State, Fresno State, Idaho, Kansas State, Kennesaw State, Long Beach State, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Missouri, New Mexico State, North Texas, Penn State, San Diego State, Washington State and Wisconsin.
Indiana is coming off a second-place finish at its own Hoosier Fall Invitational at Belterra Resort in Florence, Ind. Solid performances from Rosie Davies, Elizabeth Tong, Kristen Schelling, Marissa DeCola and Pamela Burneski earned them a spot on the trip to Las Vegas.
Schelling was the top Hoosier finisher last weekend, posting her highest finish of the year at tied for third with rounds of 75-70-74. Tong finished sixth at Belterra, highlighted by a season-low round of 68 in the second round.
Davies was the Hoosiers' third top-10 finisher, placing tied for ninth after a 72-72-79 outing. DeCola posted a pair of 74s at Belterra and has had a strong start in her freshman season as she is third on the team in scoring average (75.12).
Rounding out the group, Burneski tied for 31st at the Hoosier Fall Invitational, carding rounds of 79-75-80.
