BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana Rowing junior Meradith Dickensheets (Lafayette, Ind./William Henry Harrison) and sophomore Madison Treser (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) have both been selected to participate in USRowing National Team camps this summer.
"This is an amazing honor for both of these athletes," said head coach Steve Peterson. "They have worked so hard to become the best that they can be, and these opportunities just allow them to work to another level."
Dickensheets is one of 19 athletes (17 rowers and two coxswains) invited to attend the Women's Under 23 National Team Selection Camp this summer. From this group, the U.S. U23 National Team Eight and Quadruple Sculls crews will be selected. She is just the second rower in program history to be invited to the U-23 Selection Camp. The camp will start June 8 at the University of California - Berkeley. The Berkeley portion of the camp will conclude on July 5. The camp will start up again in Princeton, N.J., on July 8, 2014 for final preparation for the World Rowing Under 23 Championships. Under 23 Trials for pair qualification are June 22-25 at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J. The World Rowing Under 23 Championships are July 23-27 in Varese, Italy.
