Indiana Rowing Hosts Walk-on Clinic August 27th - Sept 15th
Aug. 23, 2007
The Indiana Women's Rowing team will host its annual walk-on clinic Monday, August 27th through Saturday, September 15th. During the clinic, undergraduate men and women will learn the fundamentals of rowing, cross-training for rowing, and basics of racing. No experience is necessary to participate in the clinic and the coaches encourage those with no history in the sport to take part.
"The clinic is a great way for athletes who have never been exposed to the sport of rowing to try it and see why people are so passionate about it," Head Coach Steve Peterson said. "Every year the clinic turns out a couple of really talented athletes who are able to make an impact on our varsity team, which is really exciting."
The clinic will take place at the IU rowing facilities at Lake Lemon, the University Gym and Assembly Hall. Interested students should contact Coach Fran O'Rourke at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
