McCusker played her first three seasons of high school soccer at Chesterton (Ind.) High School before transferring to Shattuck-St. Mary's Soccer Academy in Minnesota ... at Chesterton, she racked up a number of honors and accolades and led them to sectional and regional titles in 2007 and 2008, respectively ... a three-time all-conference selection ... received second team all-state honors as a junior after leading the team with 26 goals ... named first team all-district twice and the team's offenseive MVP all three years ... part of the ODP state pool team as a junior ... in her career at Chesterton, she scored 61 goals and handed out 18 assists ... then decided to transfer to Shattuck-St. Mary's Soccer Academy in Minnesota, where they play competitive games from July through May ... in her one season at SSM, she scored over 20 goals and assisted on at least 10 others ... the daughter of Paul and Vanessa McCusker .. has one brother, Jack.
